Psst… you might know the perks of sharing your message with an audience, but ever wonder what you’re missing out on by staying silent?

Today we’re gonna spill the tea on the hidden costs of playing small and keeping your brilliance under wraps.

Of letting your fear get the best of you. Of choosing to stay seated in the audience or behind the screen. Of playing small.

I really don’t enjoy being negative or raining on people’s parades or picnics – but the truth is – a lot of people hold back from speaking up and sharing their message or their work with others.

Staying small or staying in our comfort zones actually costs us a lot… a lot of incredible opportunities!

When we hold back our thoughts, ideas, and expertise, we miss out on meaningful connections, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a real impact (plus make some real money!).

And I don’t want your fear to steal the spotlight from you! That’s your spotlight – and you deserve every second of it!!

Now I totally get that public speaking can be intimidating. Anxiety inducing! Gut churning. But guess what? You’re not alone! It’s a common fear that many people share, and here’s the twist: we can turn your fear around and actually use that nervous energy to fuel your motivation and rock the stage like a boss! It can kinda be like your secret weapon!

So, here’s an exercise I do with my clients, and honestly on myself as well, if I’m facing a new speaking opportunity that feels large and kinda scary:

I want you to grab your fave notebook and pen, put on your fave playlist, make light a candle – set the scene – and start jotting down all the things you could miss out or lose out on if you decide to NOT speak. Because again – silence really is the sneaky saboteur of success!

I really want you to spiral deep into those worst-case scenarios – and stay with me here – in this situation – it can really help us out!

To get your wheels turning – here are some of the things I’ve had on my list before:

  • I’ll miss out on helping others by sharing valuable tips that can save them time and money
  • I won’t level up in my career or grow my business
  • I’ll miss out on making money
  • I’ll slow down my personal growth journey, I won’t learn any new skills or gain any new experiences

When your list is done, I want you to review it and think about how it makes you feel. Sad? Disappointed? Annoyed with yourself? Angry?

Now write all those emotions, thoughts, or feelings down under your original list.

And ready for the real tough love??

Look at the two lists, what you stand to lose and how you’ll feel about it, and let it sink in that the only one who would be responsible for those feelings and that loss, would be you.

You are the only one holding you back, standing in your way, keeping you off the stage or behind the camera – it’s all you baby! Well, you and silence – the sneaky saboteur of success!

And the best news – you are also the one who can turn it all around.

If you want the career growth, personal growth, clients, money, security – you can have it.

You can beat your fear around public speaking and hit all your dreams, goals, and desires!

Don’t let your fear dim your light or steal any of life’s goodies from you! It’s time to shine bright, share your message, and make a lasting impact. Don’t let silence become the sneaky saboteur of success for you!!

And, I can help you every single step of the way! If you are looking to level up your speaking skills and boost your confidence I’ve got some exciting options for you!
